Financial Aid Disbursements
Financial aid funds will be provided in the order that we received your financial aid application. See below for payment dates and ways to get your money.
Financial aid refunds are amounts due to the student after outstanding fees are deducted.
**Please note that you will receive your funds within 15 days after the disbursement date.**

*Regular refunds occur when:
- Application is completed prior to start of term, including loan requirements
- Enrolled in the required number of units at least one week prior to start of term
- Not subject to disqualification
- Have no holds
**For Direct Loan first-year borrowers, there is a 30-day delay in the release of a first loan disbursement. The 30-day period begins on the first day of the term, not of the loan application or approval date.

When it comes to deciding how to get your money, you deserve choices. Your choices include:
- Electronic Deposit to your Bank Account
Money is transferred to your bank account the same business day BankMobile receives funds from your school. Typically, it takes 1-2 business days for the receiving bank to credit the money to your account.
- Electronic Deposit to a BankMobile Vibe Account
If you open a BankMobile Vibe account (upon identity verification), money is deposited the same business day BankMobile receives funds from your school.
If you decide not to have your funds deposited electronically, you will receive a check in the mail.
The San Mateo County Community College District (SMCCCD) has partnered with BankMobile Disbursements to deliver your financial aid and scholarship refund. We are committed to providing students with clear choices and offering great customer service. For more information about BankMobile, visit bankmobiledisbursements.com/refundchoices.
Students with pending financial aid or scholarship refunds will receive a personal code in the mail via a green envelope or in an email from BankMobile. Students may also request a personal code directly through the BankMobile site. The personal code allows you to sign up for one of two electronic options to deposit your money - either direct deposit to your existing bank account or to a BankMobile VIBE Checking Account.
Please Note: If prompted to enter your school name, use San Mateo County Community College District.We are enrolled with BankMobile as a college district, not as three separate colleges.
