Overview

Please note: Due to the shelter-in-place order announced for San Mateo County on 3/16/2020 our physical location on the College of San Mateo campus will be closed.  We are still available to serve you remotely. Thank you for your patience.


The Welcome Center is the place for new, continuing and returning students to get assistance with navigating the college. We serve new students through the matriculation process (orientation, assessment, counseling, registration) as well as continuing and returning students who are looking for more information on how to access services needed to be successful in college.

Here is how the Welcome Center can serve you:

High School Seniors and New Students

  • Help with steps to enrollment and register for classes. Sign up for PEP (Priority Enrollment Program)
  • Help with connecting to Student Services. Too many programs? Drop by and we will direct you personally

Continuing Students

  • Basic questions or would like to make a counseling appointment, please use Counseling Services Request Form
  • Workshops that focus on career exploration, academic success, personal development
  • Help with connecting to Student Services. Too many programs? Drop by and we will direct you personally

Distance Education Students

  • Distance Education students should contact Welcome Center for information on how to complete matriculation steps remotely
  • Help with connecting to Student Services. Too many programs? Call and we will direct you personally

Faculty Resources

Concurrent Enrollment (high schools students enrolling in college courses)

  • Help with assessment for registration.
