Overview
CSM’s Pride Center is committed to serving students, faculty, and staff who identify as LGBTQQIA+ and their advocates. The Pride Center strives to be a safe space where individuals can express themselves unapologetically, foster a sense of community and belonging, engage in community activism, and learn more about allyship and advocacy within the LGBTQ+ community as well as for other marginalized communities.
While the Pride Center does not currently have its own physical space, students can find community the following areas:
- LGBTQIA+ personal counseling with Gil Perez
- Brown Bag Series with Michael Vargas
- Check out the event feed to the right for LGBTQ+ friendly and focused events
Mission Statement
CSM’s Pride Center works to advance queer liberation by empowering CSM’s thriving LGBTQIA+ community through educational initiatives, intersectional advocacy, and sincere connection. As we continue to cultivate safe spaces across campus, we commit to leveraging and developing campus and community services and resources to uplift queer students in higher education.
