Mental Health Peer Educators
Mental Health Peer Educators normalize the conversation about mental health and turn
awareness into action. These student leaders cultivate a positive mental health culture
on campus by facilitating a range of educational activities, workshops, and events
in various formats to support all students to thrive. Mental Health Peer Educators
are oftentimes the first line of assistance for someone in a moment of need and are
equipped to refer students to mental health and wellness related resources on-and-off
campus. Mental Health Peer Educators are understanding of the concerns and challenges
their fellow students face and proactively respond to help students deal with their
stressors. Our services aim to be culturally responsive and pay attention to addressing
the specific mental health needs of CSM’s diverse campus community.
