Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment, also known as College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP), is a partnership between College of San Mateo and our local high school partners to intentionally guide students to viable college and career communities or pathways to support their post-secondary journey.
At CSM our vision for Dual Enrollment is to collaborate with all of our high school partners to provide direction and momentum for community college bound high school students. We seek to connect in a meaningful way with students by building intentional pre-transfer and workforce preparation that will become their bridge to engagement with our campus.
Dual Enrollment courses are offered by college and/or high school faculty and are traditionally offered on the high school campus for ease of access. Students receive both college and high school credit for engaging in these courses. Please contact your local high school administration to see what courses might currently be offered at your high school campuses.
Dual Enrollment affords students the opportunity to:
- Increase access to college, beginning their journey early
- Spend less time and expense in obtaining a degree
- Pay no fees when they are still a high school student - Dual Enrollment courses are FREE
- Explore academic and career options and find their “Why”.
