Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment, also known as College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP), is a partnership between College of San Mateo and our local high school partners to intentionally guide students to viable college and career communities or pathways to support their post-secondary journey.
At CSM our vision for Dual Enrollment is to collaborate with all of our high school partners to provide direction and momentum for community college bound high school students. We seek to connect in a meaningful way with students by building intentional pre-transfer and workforce preparation that will become their bridge to engagement with our campus. For more information, view our Dual Enrollment Plan.
Dual Enrollment courses are taught by college and/or high school faculty and are traditionally offered on the high school campus during the regular high school day. Students receive both college and high school credit for successful completion in these courses. Please contact your local high school administration to see what courses are currently being offered at your high school campus.
Dual Enrollment provides high school students the opportunity to:
- Gain early access to college coursework and experiences
- Spend less time and expenses in obtaining a degree
- Pay no fees - Dual Enrollment courses are FREE (materials and textbooks are provided)
- Explore academic and career options and find their “Why”
