Ceremony Details & Directions

Ceremony Time & Location:
The Commencement Ceremony will begin promptly at 4 pm at College Heights Stadium (football/track stadium) on Friday, May 24, 2024. The event will be held outside. Graduate check-in will begin at 3 pm at the tennis courts.

Flow of Traffic:
Traffic will be going clockwise around West Perimeter Road. There will be road closures on West Perimeter Rd and East Perimeter Rd between Lot N and Lot M. Lot D will also be closed. Signage will be posted, and traffic will be redirected. Please refer to our campus map below.

Shuttle:
A shuttle will be available to transport people to and from the Commencement Ceremony in College Heights Stadium on Athletic Loop Road. The shuttle will stop at the flagpole in front of Health and Wellness Building 5, Parking Lot N, and Parking Lot G behind College Center Building 10. Please refer to our campus map below.

Handicapped Parking:
Handicapped parking is located in Lot F, closer to the ceremony, for those with DMV placards. Please refer to our campus map below.

Balloons, Signs, & Blowhorns not permitted:
No balloons, signs, blowhorns, coolers, mini tents, umbrellas, illegal drugs, etc., are allowed. Please leave these items in your car. Guests with any of these will be given warnings before being asked to leave the stadium.

Weather:
Please be prepared for cool, breezy weather and plan on wearing layers. If you would like to watch the ceremony indoors, it will be livestreamed in our overflow area in College Center Building 10, Bayview Dining Room.

Reception:
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in College Center Building 10, Bayview Dining Room.

Commencement Ceremony Livestream:
You can watch the livestream of the Commencement Ceremony on CSM’s YouTube Channel starting at 4 pm. Guests who wish to watch it from the reception area rather than going down to the field may view it on monitors in the Bayview Dining Room (Building 10, second floor) during the ceremony.
