Commencement

Commencement is a significant and memorable event that symbolizes a student's scholastic accomplishment. It is a time when the faculty, attired in academic dress, pays tribute to the graduating class, and is also an occasion that is very meaningful to family and friends.

College of San Mateo will be holding its 100th Commencement Ceremony on:

Date: Friday, May 27, 2022
Times: Rehearsal: 9:00 am
Procession Assembly: 3:00-3:40 pm
Ceremony: Start – 4:00 pm, End – 6:30 pm (approximately)
Locations: Rehearsal: College Heights Stadium (football field)
Procession Assembly: Tennis Courts, located near the football field
Ceremony: College Heights Stadium (football field)
Speaker: Dr. Daisy Gonzales, Ph.D. Deputy Chancellor, California Community College Chancellor’s Office
  • Served as Acting Chancellor of the California Community College
  • Former Aspen Institute Presidential Fellow
  • Serves on the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges
  • Selected as Woman of the Year by the California Legislative Women’s Caucus and Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis in 2021
