Free Tax Preparation (VITA)
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) at College of San Mateo provides free income tax assistance to the San Mateo county community. Appointments are in-person and available Saturdays, between February 11, 2023 and April 8, 2023 (except 2/18 and 4/1). Appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Walk-in appointments are NOT available.

Individuals and families with a household income of less than $66,000 a year, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) is a tax processing number issued by the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS issues ITINs to individuals who are required to have a U.S. taxpayer identification number but who do not have, and are not eligible to obtain, a Social Security number (SSN) from the Social Security Administration (SSA). - Student Tax Preparation Services

Please Note: If you suffered storm damage and have a loss you want to deduct on your tax return, we are unable to prepare returns with storm damage. Please see a paid preparer.
