Angel Pilar
Angel Pilar - CSM Math Faculty
My name is Angel Pilar, and I have been at CSM since the Fall 2019 Semester. I am currently teaching Math 200 (Introductory Statistics), Math 222 (Pre-Calculus), and Math 251 (Calculus 1). I really enjoy math, from doing simple computations to manipulating equations and seeing them being applied. I do not have a favorite math subject. I like interacting with students in and outside of class through the use of storytelling, group/club activities, on-campus events, and office hours.
I am a first-generation college student, and I feel incredibly lucky to have pursued an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Math. I am also very thankful that I am in a position to give back to the community and empower the next generation of students.
While I am not teaching math, I am probably watching tv shows with my wife, visiting friends and family, playing tennis, or fishing.
