Workforce Development

Overview

Workforce Development at College of San Mateo is committed to creating inclusive training programs that align with high-demand career fields, ensuring students are equipped with the skills needed to succeed in the local job market. Through strong partnerships with local employers, we establish diverse career pathways that lead to stable, long-term employment opportunities.

To support these efforts, we manage workforce-related grants, including the Strong Workforce Program and Perkins V, which help expand career education and training programs, enhance student success, and strengthen connections between education and industry. These initiatives ensure that students receive hands-on experience and access to resources that prepare them for long-term career growth.
