Appointments should be scheduled at least 72 hours in advance. Appointment requests are not reviewed on weekends or holidays.
Proctoring Service Days & Hours:
We are now closed for Winter Recess. We will reopen on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Location
The testing site is located inside the CSM Learning Center which can be found on Level 2 of Building 10, accross from the Bookstore. Proctoring Room (Environment)
- We have one quiet room designated for testing
- We have PC and Mac computers available for virtual testing
- We cannot guarantee a private room for testing. Other students may be testing in the same room
Proctoring for College of San Mateo Courses
Proctoring for students in CSM courses is available on a case by case basis by appointment only. Please contact csmlc@smccd.edu with your proctoring inquiry.
If students have testing accomodations through the Disability Resource Center, proctoring requests should go directly to them.
Once a proctoring appointment has been scheduled, please email or drop-off testing materials to our staff. Along with the testing materials please include:
- Instructions for proctor
- contact info in case of any questions or issues that may arise
- time limits
- materials allowed
- return instructions (District Mail, email, or Pick-Up at the Learning Center)
Proctoring for Outside Schools and Universities
Appointments for non-csm/smccd test proctoring are also available. Please call (650) 574-6570 or email csmlc@smccd.edu for more info. Please note, we are not able to accommodate standardized testing such as ACT, GRE, TEAS, ect.
Cost: There is a $30 proctoring fee per exam for outside schools and universities. Fee is payable by cash or credit card at the time of your appointment. On Fridays the Cashier's office closes at noon for credit cards. Cash and check are fine anytime.
