Makana Lyman’s 3 hits pace CSM Baseball
Until Saturday, Makana Lyman hadn’t inhabited the No. 2 spot in College of San Mateo’s starting lineup since opening day. The sophomore responded to his return to the role by having a career day, going 3 for 5 with an RBI and three runs scored to pace the Bulldogs (7-3 in Coast Golden Gate, 15-8) to a 9-3 win at Chabot (3-7, 7-16).

Behind the untouchable pitching dominance of Lauren Berriatua, CSM (26-0) is showing no signs of slowing down. The sophomore right-hander has split time with sophomore right-hander Lacie Crawford this season. As a result, Berriatua ranks 15th in the state with 95 2/3 innings pitched. Yet she leads the state in wins (18), ERA (0.22) and ranks fourth in strikeouts (115).
Kawei Tan paces CSM Swimming at Hawk Invite
With CSM competing at the Los Positas Hawk Invite last Friday and Saturday, Tan made a splash with three first-place finishes. CSM earned four firsts overall with Tan topping the 18-team field in the men’s 100-yard backstroke with a time of 51.59 seconds, the 50 free with a 21.45 and in the 200 medley relay.
Julian Edelman earns CSM’s 17th Super Bowl Ring
Julian Edelman has provided CSM with its 17th Super Bowl Ring, following a tradition begun by John Madden and Bill Walsh.
