Overview

Important Notice:

The Learning Center will be closed to students and the public until further notice. Updated information about the college response to Covid-19 outbreak can be found at emergency.smccd.info

Remote Drop-in tutoring is currently available online, in Canvas. Our own peer tutors are again available for drop in tutoring through our LCTR 698 Canvas shell. Online tutoring is also available through our NetTutor partner. If the NetTutor button does not appear in your Canvas course page, you may access it through LCTR 698.

NOTE: If you are not currently registered for LCTR 698, and you would like to access to CSMs drop-in, online tutoring, please email us at CSMLC@SMCCD.EDU and request to be added to LCTR 698.

LCTR 698 is a free, non-credit course that simply provides access to tutoring. If you have any trouble registering, or have questions about Learning Center services please email us at csmlc@smccd.edu and we will assist you.

Welcome to the Learning Center at College of San Mateo! Here at the LC, we believe that all students want to be successful as they pursue their academic and career goals. The Learning Center works in partnership with faculty and staff across the CSM campus to support the academic development of all students in our campus community.

In order to support student achievement and development, the Learning Center offers many free programs and services including peer tutoring in a variety of subjects, up-to-date technology, mentoring, workshops, group study rooms, a computer center, and a friendly, comfortable place to study. We strive to provide a space that is academic, professional, inclusive, and safe.

The Learning Center is more than a place where students can work on assignments, it is a hub to connect you to resources on campus so that you can reach your goals.

Please visit the Learning Center for more detailed information about our services.

Let us know if we are meeting your needs (survey).

Your success is our success!
