When to Apply

Fall Semester - Classes begin in August

  • New Student Applications: July 1
  • Transfer Student Applications (with Active I-20): August 1

Spring Semester - Classes begin in January

  • New Student Applications: November 15
  • Transfer Student Applications (with Active I-20): January 2

What we need

  • $50 Application Fee
  • Bank Letter or Bank Statement showing funds of at least $24,900 dated no earlier than 6 months before the date you apply. The total estimated expenses are:

Still need English Language Proficiency?

Students who have not yet met the English Language Proficiency level may apply for Conditional Admissions to College of San Mateo by first enrolling in one of our Partner English Language Schools. Two applications are required, one to the Partner English Language School and one to College of San Mateo.

If you are transferring from another school include:
  • F1 Visa
  • Active I-20
If you will be under 18 when classes begin, include:
  • Minor Authorization Form
  • Proof of High School Completion. Submit a transcript, diploma or one of the other approved high school equivalencies.

What we do not need

College of San Mateo international admissions does not require:
  • SAT or ACT scores
  • Medical Forms or Records
  • Tuition Deposit (you will pay tuition and fees after orientation)

What to expect

Application processing begins:

Spring Semester - September 1

Once Application processing begins you can expect to receive your admission notification within 15 business days.

Admitted students will receive an orientation invitation email about 3 months before classes begin.
