Short-Term Professional Development Travel Fund
Formerly Community College Teaching and Learning Program (CCTLP)

Faculty are eligible for travel funding for professional development through the Basic Skills Committee. If your conference or workshop is one that focuses on Basic Skills or underprepared students, you can apply to the Short-Term Professional Development Travel Fund, and the application will be routed to the Basic Skills Coordinator for approval. In the past, the CSM Academic Senate through the Center for Academic Excellence offered a unique professional development opportunity to new tenure-track faculty called the Short-Term Professional Development Travel Fund that gave these faculty members the opportunity to go to three teaching conferences, workshops, or trainings during their four years of tenure review.

This program has been replaced with the Short-Term Professional Development Travel Fund for all faculty and is promoted to new faculty through the New Faculty Institute to ensure these faculty are made aware of and take advantage of the appropriate funding opportunities.
