Title: Retention Specialist, Promise Scholars Program
Responsibilities: Support students with achieving their personal and academic goals, introduce and refer students to campus resources.

Other Interests: Lover of R&B and bay area music, binge watching shows and comedy specials on Netflix, being outdoors getting sunshine and playing all types of sports, eating and trying new foods.

Title: Financial Aid Program Services Coordinator, Promise Scholars Program
Responsibilities: Assist students with their financial aid applications and documents. Process all Promise incentives, book vouchers, and tuition and fees.

Other Interests: Praising the Lord, playing piano, songwriting, collecting sports cards, laughing/smiling/loving and advocating for folks!

Title: Counselor, Promise Scholars ProgramResponsibilities: Working together with students to be able to support them through their academic and personal journey here at CSM. I provide support through counseling appointments for educational guidance, developing and providing workshops, and referring to all the wonderful support services and resources on campus. Years at CSM: Since 2022Education:  M.A. Counseling & Guidance San Jose State University; B.S Exercise Science San Diego State University; AA Kinesiology & Psychology College of San MateoOther Interests: I love spending time with my family and friends, but the gym, running for my marathon prep and finding new places for food and coffee are also a favorite of mine.

Responsibilities: Individual counseling to develop Student Educational Plans (SEP), teach counseling courses, develop and implement workshops, refer students to campus resources, and help students clarify and reach personal, academic, and career goals.

Title: Counselor, Promise Scholars Program; Coordinator, Brothers Empowering Brothers (BEB); Instructor, IDST 110 College 1
Responsibilities: As a counselor/coordinator/instructor/educator I work collaboratively with students to provide holistic support, that both challenges and encourages students in achieving their own unique potential while creating a meaningful educational experience that supports their goals, dreams and aspirations.

Other Interests: Fan of all Bay Area sports teams (Warriors, Niners, Giants, Sharks). Playing pick-up basketball games at local park/gym. Hip Hop Music. Huge foodie (though I don’t know how to cook, I love to eat!). Being in community with others (love to listen and learn through/about other people’s experiences). Love to travel (experiencing new sites and tasting new foods). Being a service to my community through civic engagement and community service.

Responsibilities: Meeting with first-time college students and making sure they get the support they need to reach the goals they set for themselves, teaching COUN 240 (College and Academic Success), and serving as an advisor for the Filipino student organization, Katipunan.

Other Interests: Plant mama, Peloton fan, Passion Planner enthusiast, 90s Hip-Hop and R&B, and hype woman to family, friends, and students
