Appointments & Courses

Get personalized support and structured learning to move forward with confidence. Through one-on-one appointments, career counseling, and courses, you can refine your resume, practice interviews, and explore career options. Whether you need quick advice or in-depth guidance, we’re here to support your goals.

CSM Career Counselors meet with CSM students to:

  • Administer and interpret career assessments such as the MBTI and SII
  • Discuss potential major and career pathways
  • Review career and industry information
  • Develop students' job search skills
  • Review resumes
  • Prepare students for upcoming interviews

To make a one-on-one appointment with a Career Counselor, call (650) 574-6400 or book directly through your Student Success Link (here are instructions for first-time users). Appointments are available both in-person and via Zoom.

Get personalized, on-the-spot support to build confidence in your job search. Unlike career counseling, which offers ongoing sessions to explore your goals in depth, these one-on-one appointments focus on quick, targeted guidance. Get help with resume reviews, mock interviews, LinkedIn development, and refining your elevator pitch.

To schedule an appointment, email Nate Jackson at jacksonnate@smccd.edu

These courses are designed to help you clarify your major, explore careers, and successfully obtain an internship or job.

The San Mateo Community College District also offers a variety of career and skill-based classes. Visit the Community, Continuing & Corporate Education website for more information.
