New Faculty Institute

The New Faculty Institute (NFI) seeks to provide new faculty with resources and activities that promote their sense of community, their institutional knowledge, and a foundation in pedagogy and practices that support equity and student success. Participants meet on a monthly basis as part of a year-long institute facilitated by the Professional Development Faculty Coordinator and supported by guest speakers from across campus. 

Goals

• Support new faculty with resources and community​
• Provide new faculty with the institutional knowledge they need to
  fulfill their roles, contribute to institutional priorities, and become
  future campus leaders​
• Provide a foundation in evidence-based, culturally-responsive
  pedagogy and practices
