Student Activities Event Planning

The Center for Student Life staff is available to assist campus organizations in the development, planning, and approval of campus programs and events. College policy questions, facilities reservations, security planning, audio/visual requests, insurance requirements, health and safety reviews, risk management planning, publicity, and other considerations for special events are coordinated through the Center for Student Life.

Housing Assistance

Dormitories and other types of college-sponsored housing are not offered by College of San Mateo, but there are many housing options available in the area. More information about housing is available in our Housing page.


Student Government and Club Information

Information concerning any aspect of student government, student activities, or clubs may be obtained in the Center for Student Life. The Center for Student Life also provides student groups with duplicating, publicity, and clerical services. More information about student government is available on the ASCSM website. Referral Services

The  Center for Student Life maintains current referral listings of services available through College and community agencies. We can assist students through referrals to the campus Health Center, Psychological Services, Tutorial Center, Child Development Center, and community agencies for such services as legal assistance, family planning, and women's services.


Transportation Information

Public transit information, including bus and train schedules, maps, and general transportation assistance are available through the Center for Student Life. Additional information regarding transit services to and from CSM is also available on the Transportation website..


Campus Posting & Time, Place and Manner Information

All signs, flyers, or similar materials must follow campus regulations regarding campus posting. Presentation of information must follow all policies regarding time, place and manner. Copies of these regulations are available in the Center for Student Life and and the Campus Posting page.


On-Campus Vending & Tabling

Opportunities to vend and table on campus are available through the Center for Student Life.
