Meet the Team

Hi! I’m Liliana Ceja, the College Recruiter at College of San Mateo. I’ve been part of the CSM community since 2021 and have an extensive background in student services. Before becoming the College Recruiter, I worked in the Welcome Center and Assessment Services, where I helped students navigate the enrollment process and understand the steps they needed to take to get started at CSM.

As a first-generation college graduate, I understand that starting college can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you’re not sure where to begin or who to ask for help. I truly believe that one conversation can change a student’s future, which is why I’m passionate about making college feel more approachable and helping students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring their options, and finding the support they need.

One of my favorite parts of my role is getting to connect with students both on and off campus. Whether I’m visiting a local school, helping with an application, welcoming students for a campus tour, or connecting someone with a program or resource, I love helping students discover what CSM has to offer and find their next step.

If you’re thinking about attending CSM, want to visit campus, or simply have a question, please feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to help!

Hello, I’m a third-year student at College of San Mateo with a passion for photography and creative expression. I enjoy capturing authentic moments and turning them into lasting memories. Outside of academics, I value spending quality time with my family and my girlfriend, who keep me motivated and grounded. I’m focused on continuing to grow, both in my craft and as a person. I'm grateful to be a student ambassador at College of San Mateo.

Hi! My name is Melissa, and I’m a second-year student at CSM. I work on campus as a student ambassador, and I really enjoy helping others feel welcome and supported. I’m currently majoring in Business Administration while also pursuing degrees in International Business and Social Sciences. I’m also part of the Puente Learning Community, and I’m a DRC and EOPS student. As an ambassador, I love connecting with new students, sharing my experiences, and helping others find their own way. I know how important it is to feel like you belong, and I always try to create a positive and comfortable environment for everyone. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and community through volunteering. I also like going on mini road trips, trying new things, and finding new places to eat! A fun fact about me is that I love outdoor activities like horseback riding, ATV riding, and canopy touring (ziplining)!

Hi everyone! My name is Alex, and I'm originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. I'm currently studying ESL and Computer Science here at CSM. I'm a huge car enthusiast and deeply passionate about all things tech. In my free time, I love traveling, staying active, and exploring new places. I'm genuinely proud and excited to be a part of the College of San Mateo community. Helping people is something that truly brings me joy, so feel free to say hi if you see me around. See you on campus!
