HORT 426 SYMPATHY FLORAL DESIGN In-depth study of historical and current styles, trends, and techniques used in the construction of fl oral designs for funeral tributes. Highlights stages of the grief process, correct salesmanship, and good relations with mortuaries. This is an intermediate level course. A $125.00 materials fee (approximately $8 per class) is payable upon registration. Prerequisite: HORT 400. Credit/No Credit or letter grade option. (CSU)
HORT 680 ADVANCED TOPICS IN FLORAL DESIGN This class is for advanced students that want to continue their growth as Floral Designers. Covers the newest trends in design from the American Institute of Floral Designers from North America, Europe and Asia. Focus topics will be selected each semester. Topics may include but are not limited to freestyle forms, high style forms, structures, armatures, new designs in wear and carry or focus on a particular style of world renowned designers. Course may assist in preparing for the AIFD or CCF accreditation process. A $125.00 materials fee (approximately $7 per class) is payable upon registration. Plus one hour by arrangement per week. Prerequisite: HORT 417. May be taken up to 4 times for a maximum of 6 units. Credit/ No Credit or letter grade option. (CSU)
