BCST 240 DIRECTING TALENT
Introduction to the basic techniques focused on directing talent for
electronic media, including fiction, factual programming and news.
Students are introduced to basic techniques such as casting, motivation
and dialogue, staging, blocking cameras to actors, choreography and beats.
Plus two hours by arrangement per week.
Recommended Preparation:
ENGL 838 or ENGL 848 or equivalent. Credit/No Credit or letter grade
option. May be taken two times for a maximum of 2 units. (CSU)

BCST 420 ADVANCED AUDIO OPERATIONS
Students learn how to put together all of the skills needed for making finished audio programs. Also included is how media outlets make,
distribute and archive programs. Plus two hours by arrangement per week.
Prerequisite: MULT 316 or equivalent.
Corequisite: MUS 293 or equivalent.
Recommended Preparation: MULT 296 or equivalent.
Credit/No Credit or letter grade option. May be taken two times for a maximum of 6 units. (CSU)
