Photographic Services

While College of San Mateo does not have an official school photographer, Community Relations & Marketing provides photographic services as possible. Please contact us and provide your photographic needs. We will contact you for a personal consultation once your request is received.

Use of Photography
CSM has a blanket photo release policy which states "College of San Mateo, a non-profit California Community College, reserves the right to take and use photographs, video and electronic images of students and visitors taken on college property and at college-sponsored events for marketing and promotional purposes. Objection must be made in writing to the Community Relations & Marketing Office."

While this simplifies record keeping and allows for more photographic flexibility, certain instances still require a photo/video release. These situations include, but are not limited to, students under eighteen years of age and subjects used in a high-visibility location of a marketing piece (front covers, banners, billboards, etc). If in doubt, get a signed photo release. Please deliver signed photo/video release forms to our department to the attention of Thuc Nguyen in Building 10, Room 462.
