Honors Project/Writers Project student journal The Labyrinth has been awarded First Place at the National Collegiate Honors Council Conference in 2014 and 2018, 2nd Place in 2017, 3rd Place in 2021, and 2nd Place in 2022

Students will earn honors credit in selected transfer courses by developing and successfully completing advanced research projects. Students are required to concurrently enroll in an Honors Project research seminar.
College of San Mateo welcomes eligible students to participate in the Honors Project. Applications are accepted year round. But students should apply before the semester in which they plan to begin honors coursework.
