Services Overview

Health center services are available to all students at the College of San Mateo. The following services are free, with no need for health insurance or a co-pay: 

  • Medical consultation with licensed health professionals
  • Women’s exams, general physical exams
  • Treatment of certain injuries and illnesses
  • Vaccinations (Flu, MMR, Hep B, and others when available) for individuals without health insurance
  • Condoms, Sanitary Napkins, and Tampons
  • Over-the-counter medications such as Advil, Tylenol, Benadryl, Allegra, Pepcid, Pepto-Bismol, Chloraseptic, Hydrocortisone, antibiotic ointment, and first aid supplies
  • On-site pregnancy tests, urine tests, and strep tests
  • Tuberculosis screenings for employment
  • Referrals for Chest X-rays (to rule out active tuberculosis) for employment
  • Fentanyl Test Strips

We also offer the following additional services at no or low cost: 

  • Emergency Contraception*
  • Birth Control options*
  • Pap Smears*
  • Chlamydia test*
  • Gonorrhea test*
  • Syphilis Test*
  • HIV Test*
  • Varicella titer
  • Hepatitis B titer
  • Complete Blood Count
  • Blood Chemistry Panel
  • Lipid Panel
  • Tuberculosis Blood Test (QuantiFERON) and skin test (for reasons other than employment at the District)
