Note:

The College of San Mateo Academic Senate approves the temporary suspension of operations of the Committee on Teaching and Learning, effective immediately through the Fall 2026 term. Because assessment crosses all areas of the college and CSM wants to reflect this,  the Academic Senate and Institutional Planning Committee will work to collaboratively develop a proposal for a successor committee that will represent the broader campus and report to the IPC. Any charge, membership composition, reporting relationship, or other governance details of a successor committee will return to the Academic Senate for separate consideration and approval.

The Committee oversees, coordinates, and reports on activities that promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning. The CTL supports the Academic Senate’s goals and the college’s institutional priorities by promoting practices for assessing student learning and success. The committee meets twice per month, on the second and fourth Monday of the month, from 3:00-4:00.
