AAPI Inspiration: Through the AAPILD program, I met amazing people and shared so many exciting experiences! As a mentor, I want to help create the same welcoming and engaging atmosphere for future AAPILD members, and to continue participating in the community.

AAPI Inspiration: Being a part of AAPILD means I get to give back to the community that supported me and made me feel seen. I hope to be someone students can relate and turn to. I will make sure all feel motivated, valued, and that they truly belong! :D

AAPI Inspiration: I really liked the laid back atmosphere where I could vibe and talk with others from a similar background. This year, I would love to work on more events and connect with more students!

AAPI Inspiration: When I was a first year, I found community and belonging in the weekly meetings, social bondings, and leadership activities. To this day, some of my closest friends were made through this program! As a previous mentor, my role was to support similar experiences for our new members, through cultural diversity and inclusion :D

AAPI Inspiration: Joining AAPILD made it much easier for me to find a place on campus where I felt like I belonged. By sharing our cultural identity and shared experiences I feel that our community can grow here at CSM. Making friends within this space made my first year so much fun and I want to welcome new students, especially first-years, who may be feeling lost in a new environment.

AAPI Inspiration: For me, the AAPILD program opened up many new avenues and opportunities. I was able to grow exponentially, having the chance to attend conferences, meetings, lead activities, and connect with like-minded individuals as well as those who share similar backgrounds. I found that being part of such an inclusive, supportive space is very comforting and I’m proud to continue participating in our program to help others experience the same positives I did.

AAPI Inspiration: Something that inspired me to be an AAPILD Peer Mentor is my personal experience with the program itself. Joining this program has allowed me to be a part of a supportive community and feel a sense of belonging on campus. As a peer mentor, I hope to bring the same experience to new incoming students!

AAPI Inspiration: What inspires me is using what I've learned to help others. It's a lot of fun for me when I'm teaching people and being a part of this group.
