Overview
CSM Connect supports adult learners as they transition from adult school to College of San Mateo. Whether you’re learning English, exploring a new career, or returning to school after time away, we’re here to help you take your next step toward college, career, and community goals.
In collaboration with San Mateo Adult & Career Education (San Mateo Adult School) and La Costa Adult School in Half Moon Bay, CSM Connect provides a welcoming bridge to college for adult learners. Together, we support adults from diverse backgrounds to build skills, earn credentials, and prepare for high-demand careers and continued education.
This work is part of the San Mateo County Consortium for Adult & Career Education (SMCCACE), a regional partnership of adult schools, community colleges, and community-based organizations funded through the California Adult Education Program (CAEP). SMCCACE collaborates to expand access to high-quality adult education and workforce training throughout San Mateo County.
While SMCCACE coordinates adult education across the region, CSM Connect is the local effort at College of San Mateo focused on providing guidance, resources, and encouragement tailored to adult learners. From understanding how to apply to college, to exploring programs and support services, to building confidence as a student, CSM Connect is here to walk with you each step of the way.
CSM Connect also proudly extends its services to Bridge Academy, recognizing that every learner—no matter their starting point—deserves a clear, supported path to college.
You’re not alone. CSM Connect is here to help you navigate college systems, feel welcomed on campus, and succeed in college and beyond.
