The Faculty Professional Development Program is intended to provide opportunities to attend classes and workshops that will promote outstanding District departments, programs and services, while fostering the creativity, personal growth and advancement of our employees.
Faculty Professional Development Fund (Article 13 - AFT Contract)
The San Mateo County Community College District provides a fund equal to 1% of expenditures for regular faculty salaries to provide faculty professional development opportunities. Please see Article 13 of the AFT faculty contract to learn more about the program.

The New Faculty Institute provides a first year orientation to new full-time faculty entering the CSM college community. For more information contact the Academic Support and Learning Technologies division.
Innovation Grant (updated October 2020)
The CSM Innovation Grant provides seed funding of up to $3500 for innovative projects designed to increase student access and success. Starting in the 2020-21 academic year, the Innovation Grant will shift to a spring-only application and review process. Additional information will be posted here prior to the end off the fall semester.
