Dental Assisting
Costs & Potential Earnings

Costs of the program
The 10-Month Dental Assisting program costs between $4100 and $4500 for registration, books, supplies, materials, uniforms, and other miscellaneous fees. This does not include the fees to take the State and National examinations. For specific fees per semester view Dental Assisting Program Expenses.

Potential earnings after completing the program
Dental Assistants have great earning potential! A dental assistant, with no licensure, can make about $12-14 per hour along the Peninsula. A Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) can make anywhere from $18-25 per hour depending on experience, licensure, and clinical expertise. At CSM, we train each student to become a RDA. Salaries will vary depending on geographic location.
