All-College 2013 Institutional Self Evaluation Kick-Off

This fall College of San Mateo begins its two-year comprehensive self evaluation process that will culminate in the submission of CSM’s 2013 Self Evaluation Report of Educational Quality and Institutional Effectiveness to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC).
I invite you to attend an all-college accreditation kick-off on Friday, September 16, from 1:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in College Center, Room 195. At the September 16th meeting, Laura Demsetz, faculty co-chair of the 2013 institutional self evaluation, and I will provide an overview of the accreditation process, a review of the accreditation standards by which colleges are evaluated, and suggest ways in which you can participate in the 2013 institutional self evaluation.
A number of faculty, classified staff, and administrators have already agreed to serve on committees and have been approved by their constituencies. The Associated Students is appointing members to the standards committees during August. If you are not yet serving on a standards committee but would like to do so, please contact Laura or me.

Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend the kick-off meeting. Your understanding of accreditation and your participation in the 2013 institutional self evaluation will help to ensure that College of San Mateo has a robust accreditation process that is inclusive, participatory, and comprehensive.
