CSM Community Garden Honoring Cesar Chavez
- In Spring 2016, we were proud to honor Cesar Chavez’s legacy of service, social and economic justice with our very own CSM Community Garden. In sustaining the CSM Community Garden, we annually replant edible and native plant species to attract local pollinators.
- In addition, we installed a permanent sign during Summer 2017.
- Biology students continue to maintain the garden every academic year.
- In partnership with Strong Workforce.
- The last year of this event was 2019.
- The focus was on green jobs and internships for students.
- We had over 20 exhibitors and student clubs presenting on social justice, biodiversity, water, waste, and energy issues affecting the CSM community.
