Prerequisite Checking

If you believe that you have the required skills and background to succeed in a music course but cannot register due to a prerequisite block, you may do the following:

For MUS 131 and 111
Complete a short assessment of basic music skills. Stop by the Assessment Center (Building 10, Room 370) to take the test. 

For all other music courses with prerequisites
For all other music courses with prerequisites, see Prerequisites, Corequisites and Recommended Preparation and complete either a course prerequisite form (if you have completed a course comparable to the prerequisite at another college) or a prerequsite challenge petition.
