Meet the Faculty

Most of our instructional staff are still active in the fire service, many in San Mateo County. This includes all ranks in the fire service, from firefighters to chiefs. This is how we are able to bring the most up-to-date information and techniques to the Fire Technology student.

The Fire Technology program at College of San Mateo is staffed entirely on a part-time basis. Instructors are only on campus on days that they are scheduled to teach, and they do not hold office hours. The coordinator is in the office approximately once a week.
