The Biology and Health Science Departments offer courses serving a wide range of student educational goals, including transfer to baccalaureate institutions for both non-science and science majors, prerequisites for programs including Kinesiology, allied health, and psychology; and general education courses.

The department offers an Associate of Science Degree in a variety of biology sub-disciplines, and a Certificate of Specialization in Biotechnology. Courses are offered in a range of formats including on campus, web-assisted, and fully online.

Our state-of-the-art science building includes smart classrooms, laboratories equipped with the latest technologies and an Integrated Science Center. The Science Center hosts the Science Club, provides computer access and is a popular study center for all students.

The faculty is diverse in our backgrounds and experiences, and we are committed to providing students with an active learning environment tailored to help every student achieve their academic potential.
