Career highlights: Developing a deeper understanding of the field of Sociology because students ask me such great questions!
Hobbies: Hiking with my dog, baking, going to all the great museums the Bay Area has to offer, and fostering kittens over the summer!

Malia Lee WomackMalia Lee Womack

Degrees: The Ohio State University: PhD (Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies) and MA (Latin American Studies); Columbia University: MA (Human Rights Studies/Emphasis: Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies); UC Berkeley: BA (Gender and Women’s Studies/Minor: Global Poverty and Practice); Saddleback College: AA (Gender and Sexuality Studies)
Teaching experience: Since 2015
Career highlights: Malia Lee Womack has perpetually promoted her research and presented it at more than 30 conferences throughout 5 countries.  She also published 11 of her manuscripts in peer reviewed scholarly journals or books.
Hobbies: Womack is a lifetime learner who loves to travel and learn about different cultures and epistemologies. She believes in appreciating every moment and making the most of it.

Minu MathurMinu Mathur
Title: Professor, Sociology
Degrees: B.A., Political Science (honors), Delhi University; M.S., Sociology, Oklahoma State University; Ph.D., Sociology, Oklahoma State University
Teaching experience: Since 1985
Career highlights: An active participant in a host of learning communities, the Writing Across the Curriculum program, the Basic Skills Initiative program, and the honor’s classes. Contributed to book chapters, and has been a reviewer for many text books.
Community Activities: Active participant in feed the homeless program, San Mateo. Bronze medal winner from Second Harvest Bank. Invitee to the Congressional women's lunch to honor First Lady Michelle Obama, Washington DC, 2009
Hobbies: Reading, Art, travel and going to the movies
