Social Science fields are many and varied, and include such areas as Cultural Anthropology, Economics, Ethnic Studies, Geography, History, International Relations, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. Career opportunities for social scientists are found with federal, state and local government agencies. Additional opportunities exist with colleges and universities in research and teaching. Some social scientists are selfemployed in research or special studies for business, industry or government.
