CSM astrophysics student Luis Alvarez recently visited Haughton Mars Project Research Station (HMPRS) to begin project SMART (San Mateo Arctic Research Telescope). SMART is a joint effort between MARS Institute, SETI Institute, College of San Mateo, and San Mateo County Astronomical Society.
