The CSM Center for Human Rights seeks to promote human rights awareness throughout the campus and the wider community. Through human rights education and interdisciplinary collaboration, we strive to prepare the next generation of activists, professionals, and citizens to fight for social justice in a world of social and political injustices. As such, the Center for Human Rights acts as the epicenter for student-faculty collaboration on human rights, as a platform for showcasing student research and activism, and as a forum for developing interdisciplinary human rights pedagogy.

Goals
  • Foster student research and activism in human rights
  • Promote human rights awareness through curriculum and
    campus-wide events
  • Increase interdisciplinary collaboration on human rights learning
    and pedagogy
  • Provide a forum for interactions between faculty and students
    interested in human rights
