Software training? Starting a career? Career change? Transferring to a four-year school?
Use our program to get where you want to go.
This is how past students have used our program to achieve their goals:
Software instruction Whether for the requirements of an existing job, the hopes of getting a better job, or personal enrichment, many students use our program to learn software. We have an excellent up-to-date computer lab with on-duty lab aides to help you. You will learn the software by producing professional quality projects written and designed by the instructors. Most of the learning takes place by you actually using the software. We teach InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver. Vocational skills Our two-year program is designed to give you the skills, knowledge, and portfolio necessary to find work in what has always been a competitive job market. |
We have placed students in the printing and publishing industries, marketing departments and creative services departments of corporations, in small design studios, and in sign making and screen printing businesses, to name just a few. Some experienced graduates have become successful owners of their own design studio. Transfer Many students do some or all of their first two years of college at CSM and then transfer to four-year destination schools. Common majors include graphic design, graphic communications, and web design. Transfer schools include San Jose State, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Cal State East Bay, CSU Long Beach, Academy of Art, and many others. CSM is a great place to prepare a quality portfolio for transfer admission. |
