Accreditation Oversight Committee
Overview

Accreditation Status
College of San Mateo is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, 10 Commercial Blvd., Suite 204, Novato, CA 94949, (415) 506-0234, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.

The role of the Accreditation Oversight Committee is twofold:
  1. To coordinate College of San Mateo’s ongoing activities related to its accreditation, and
  2. To provide open communication between the Accreditation Oversight Committee and the college community.
Because this Web site is dynamic and regularly updated, the committee members invite you to visit the site frequently.

During the 2012-2013 academic year, the Accreditation Oversight Committee will focus primarily on overseeing CSM’s two-year self evaluation, which began in Fall 2011. For detailed information about CSM’s 2013 institutional self evaluation of educational quality and institutional effectiveness, visit collegeofsanmateo.edu/2013selfevaluation

The headings at the left direct you to sections of this site that reflect the work of the Accreditation Oversight Committee. Especially useful and informative are the meeting summaries, the reports submitted to ACCJC, and the Planning Agenda for the 2010 Midterm Report. The Contact Us section gives you an opportunity to ask questions and to offer suggestions and comments. We want to hear from you, and we will respond to your emails.
