Enrolled Agents Information
Enrolled Agents are licensed by the Federal government to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Enrolled Agents can practice anywhere in the United States. Enrolled Agents can prepare any type of tax return, such as tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, and trusts.
To become an Enrolled Agent you must pass an examination written by the IRS. The exam is called the Special Enrollment Examination, or SEE. The test covers taxation of individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts, along with ethics.
