How do I make an appointment?

To make an appointment to see a Writing Center instructor, stop by the Writing Center (18-104) or call the Center at (650) 574-6436.

What happens if I need to cancel an appointment?

Please call to cancel as far in advance of your scheduled appointment as possible. Call the Writing Center number at: (650) 574-6436. If there is no one to answer your call, please leave a message. If you miss two appointments and have not called to cancel, you will lose the right to make another appointment.

When is the Writing Center open?

During Fall and Spring semesters, the Writing Center is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. During the summer, the Writing Center is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM and is closed on Fridays.

When are specific instructors available?

Those instructors whose names are in black are native speaker instructors.
Those instructors whose names are in red are ESL instructors.
Those instructors whose names are in green are both native speaker and ESL instructors.
