Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction is based on peer-lead study sessions held outside of class where trained SI leaders reinforce the instruction provided by professors. Student-to-student interaction is the basis of this model which has been used world-wide since 1973.
METaS, CSM's HSI-STEM grant, funds SI Leaders for the following STEM courses:
- CHEM 210 – Prof. Flowers (82016)
- BIOL 220 – Prof. Beliz (93224)
- PHYS 250 – Prof. Janatpour (96143, 96144)
- CHEM 210 – Prof. Dao (90381, 90382)
- MATH 200 – Prof. Gopinath (90692)
- CHEM 231 – Prof. Ciesla (83357, 82019, 86182)
