Overview

CSM offers an A.A. degree in photography and the curriculum provides a solid foundation for students transferring to both commercial and fine art schools.

The photography program also accommodates students whose photographic goals are not career-oriented. Art 351 satisfies general education requirements for students who are planning to transfer.

Through photography students develop a visual literacy that is useful in any field of study—developing the ability to observe, discover, and interpret the world is the foundation of creative photography and are skills at the core of higher education.
