Where should I go for help if the English 800 Center is closed?
You can go to the Writing Center to make an appointment, see an instructor, or get help with a tutorial.

What can I do in the English 800 Center?
You can make appointments to meet with an English instructor for one-on-one tutoring; advice on an essay or paper for any course at College of San Mateo; or help with a personal statement or work-related writing project. You can work on a specific writing skill by completing tutorials, which are found in the English 800 Center and on our website. You can learn about writing and literature as well as writers and their cultures by using the Writing Center's books and instructional materials or by viewing DVDs and VHS tapes. You can also use the computers in the Quiet Room to research, write, and print your essays.
