Cañada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College offer students of all ages the unique and valuable opportunity to live and study in another country while making normal progress toward meeting their educational objectives. This popular international study program provides you with the opportunity to live and study in some of the world's great cities at very reasonable cost.
Study abroad can be an enlightening, maturing and life-changing experience. As students live in and learn to understand a different culture, they are challenged to re-examine themselves, their attitudes and their values. These programs are offered in cooperation with other California community colleges and with the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS), which provides transportation, living accommodations, and a wide range of student and instructional support services.
In Fall 2008, we are pleased to offer the opportunity for our students to live and study in London, sharing a bedroom room with another student in a homestay with an English family. A shared apartment alternative is also available. Students can also choose to study in Spain, sharing a bedroom with another student in homestay with a Spanish family. The Spain program will be split between Granada and Madrid (six weeks in each location).
