Certificates - Electronics Option 3: Microcomputer Systems

Upon successful completion of the certificate the student will be able to:
  • Working knowledge of the use of a Windows -based computer to acquire relevant technical data from the Internet.
  • Demonstrate compentency in fundamental concets of DC and AC Electronics through construction, evaluation and troubleshooting of typical circuits.
  • Demonstrate competency in math skills required to evaluate DC and AC electronics circuits.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Digital Electronics, active devices and linear circuit analysis as it applies to Microcomputer systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to design, fabricate and construct circuits on state-of-the-art printed circuit board and enclosures as it applies to Microcomputer systems.
  • Demonstrate the skills in PC hardware and architecture to troubleshoot and maintain current, state-of-the-art PC hardware.
