Certificates - Electronics Option 2: Industrial Electronics
Upon successful completion of the certificate the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate a hands-on working knowledge of the use of a Windows-based computer and use it to acquire relevant technical data via the internet.
- Demonstrate competency in the fundamental concepts of DC and AC Electronics through the construction, evaluation and troubleshooting of typical DC and AC circuits.
- Demonstrate competency in the math skills required to evaluate DC and AC electronics circuits.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of Digital Electronics as it applies to Industrial Electronics.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of active devices and linear circuit analysis as it applies to Industrial Electronics.
- Demonstrate the ability to design, fabricate and construct circuit boards and enclosures, as applies to Industrial Electronics.
- Apply all the above principles to at least three of the following: electric motor control; programmable logic controllers; hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum power systems; sensors ad data transmission systems; electronic and pneumatic process control systems; automated process control system design.
