Connection Concurrent Enrollment Program
Information for High School Students, Teachers, and Counselors
Located atop the hills in west San Mateo, right off highway
92, College of San Mateo provides a spectacular panoramic
view of San Francisco Bay and the surrounding community. However,
that is just the beginning, for at CSM you will find a vibrant,
lively, beautiful campus, which provides an excellent learning
environment for students, and a great place to start your
university education.
In fact, many students still in high school, do just that,
by taking advantage of an exciting enrollment opportunity
at CSM called College
Connection Concurrent Enrollment Program. This special
program allows high school students the opportunity to get
an early start on higher education by earning college credit
and fulfilling college and university requirements without
the expense of most university programs.
Entering Freshmen
Clearly, the majority of students who
attend CSM are entering freshmen. These students typically
have a strong desire to fulfill the first two years of their
baccalaureate degree, completing both lower division major,
and general education requirements prior to transferring as
a juniors to a university. Once enrolled, students take full
advantage of our many transfer services(collegeofsanmateo.edu/transfer),
including the opportunity to pick up a "guarantee transfer
admission agreement" to a number of competitive universities.

of students who transfer on to universities and achieve academic

Many other students attend CSM because of its outstanding faculty, variety of majors, or because they are interested in pursuing a certificate or associate degree in a technical or occupational field which will prepare them to apply for some of the best jobs in Bay Area business, industry, health care, or public service. Whether you are planning to earn an associate degree, transfer to a university, participate in concurrent enrollment, or complete a certificate leading directly to employment, CSM offers a variety of excellent programs and services to help you attain your educational goals.
Enrollment Procedures for Fall Admission at CSM
College of San Mateo has designed a unique program for high school seniors, which provides them with an easy transition from high school to college, as well as guaranteeing them priority enrollment and early registration for this coming fall semester. Students finishing their senior year of high school are strongly encouraged to participate in this special program.
